Here is a quick rundown on snow removal on the roads in our neighborhood.
The WPOA has nothing to do with snow removal on the roads. The city takes care of its portion, and VDOT takes care of the Albemarle portion. Both municipalities subcontract, especially with storms like this. So you will see several different companies performing the work, but the point of contact remains with each municipality.
So, for Albemarle County residents, you can call (800) 367-7623, or use VDOT's online form at https://my.vdot.virginia.gov/
Charlottesville residents will need to call (434) 970-3830. I cannot find an online form.
If you would like to discuss this at the next WPOA meeting, please feel free to attend on February 11th. Time and place have not been set yet. However, the WPOA doesn't have much say in this situation. The entire area is snowed in, and since the properties affected aren't owned by the WPOA, it has little influence. It would be much more effective for each homeowner to contact VDOT directly.
contact@willoughbyneigborhood.org is the best way to contact the board if you have any questions. However, for snow removal, please contact either the county or city directly.
